| About Los Cabos
The towns of San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, together known as Los Cabos, lie at the southern tip of the land on the 1000 mile long Baja California peninsula. The two have a combined population of approximately 50,000. There are about 350 sunny days a year here, with an average temperature between 70° and 75°F. August and September are the hottest months but the dry heat and ocean breezes make any temperature pleasant year round.
Desert Wilderness, giant cacti, dramatic rock formations, craggy bluffs and azure waters combine to create a compelling setting. The rich waters of the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean are home to about 800 species of fish and the calm estuary in San Jose del Cabo is home to about 100 species of birds. During the winter months, gray whales migrate to the inviting waters of Los Cabos to mate and bare their young. |
